After several years of campaigning and hard work, the new 20mph limit on Kenilworth Gardens has finally been installed and is now fully operational.
Residents living on the Kenilworth estate are seeing a welcome reduction in speeding traffic thanks to the new 20mph speed limits introduced in February.
The new limits, the result of a 3 year campaign by local councillor Jon Hubbard, came about after numerous residents contacted Jon to complain about the speeding traffic on the estate.
“The main problem appeared to be that Kenilworth Gardens was being used as a rat-run to avoid the Market Place,” Jon said.
“By introducing this new limit we will make the route less attractive to those hoping to save time by travelling through this residential area. We must keep the walk-to-school routes safe”.
