Wiltshire Liberal Democrats are today pleased to release our proposals for the Wiltshire Council Budget.
Our Budget proposals are focused on rebuilding local communities in Wiltshire. The Conservative Administration on Wiltshire Council has taken decisions since 2009 which are divorced from the needs and wants of local communities.

Wiltshire Liberal Democrats have welcomed the part-implementation of their policy to give free swimming to young people.
The Conservative Administration on Wiltshire Council announced yesterday plans to give free swimming to under-16's during the school holidays at Easter and during the summer, periods covered by a Liberal Democrat Budget.

Conservatives say No to wider consultation on Urchfont Closure

On Monday a Wiltshire Council Committee has challenged the ruling Conservative Administration's decision to sell off Urchfont Manor and end the much valued Adult Education services provided on the premises.
The Committee says that the Conservative Cabinet failed to consult most of the people involved in the Manor, including the Manor's own.

Lib Dem candidate Marion Sweet swept to victory in Tuesday 10th January's by-election.
Marion won 54% of the vote, and takes up her place on Royal Wooton Bassett Town Council.
